Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor manages daily warehouse activities to ensure that incoming products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately. The position supervises warehouse employees, assigns work, monitors shift performance, and coordinates labor and equipment to meet production, inventory, safety, and delivery requirements. The supervisor works closely with warehouse management, transportation, inventory control, and distribution teams to maintain an effective flow of goods.

Responsibilities include reviewing work schedules, monitoring order accuracy, investigating inventory discrepancies, coordinating replenishment, and ensuring that shipping deadlines are met. The supervisor conducts safety briefings, supports employee onboarding, monitors equipment use, and ensures that warehouse procedures are followed consistently. The role also identifies workflow bottlenecks, evaluates productivity metrics, and implements improvements to reduce errors, damage, delays, and unnecessary labor costs.

The position requires strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. The supervisor must be able to respond to unexpected operational issues, maintain accurate shift reports, and promote a culture of accountability and safety. Previous warehouse, distribution, inventory-control, or logistics experience is generally preferred, along with experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
