The In-Store Shopper / Home Shopping Personal Shopper fulfills online grocery orders by selecting products that match customer requests, quantity requirements, and quality expectations. The position uses digital shopping applications or order-management systems to locate items, confirm availability, record substitutions, and prepare orders for pickup or delivery. The employee must balance speed and accuracy while ensuring that fresh and temperature-sensitive products are handled correctly.

Responsibilities include selecting produce, packaged groceries, refrigerated items, frozen products, and household merchandise; checking expiration dates and packaging; and choosing appropriate alternatives when items are unavailable. The shopper follows approved substitution procedures, communicates order issues through designated systems, verifies completed orders, and organizes items for handoff.
